The Chinese Government Scholarship "High-level Postgraduate" program is a full-time, fully funded scholarship program for outstanding international postgraduate students funded by the Chinese government. In accordance with the relevant documents of the Ministry of Education, Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine has formulated the 2025 Chinese Government Scholarship "High-level Postgraduate" program admission application method, the specific contents are as follows.

(I) Funding categories
Masters and doctoral students.
(II) Funding Period
It includes Chinese tutoring (preparatory course) and professional study time. The funding period for Chinese tutoring (preparatory course) is generally one year, and the funding period for professional study is in principle the same as the basic study period.

III. Funding Content and Standards
(I) Funding Content
Includes tuition fees, accommodation fees, living expenses and comprehensive medical insurance.
(II) Funding Standards
1. Free tuition;
2. Provide free dormitories or provide accommodation subsidies;
3. Living expenses:
Master's degree students: RMB 3,000 per month
PhD students: RMB 3,500 per month
4. Comprehensive medical insurance premium:
RMB 800/person/year
IV. Application Requirements
(1) Non-Chinese citizens, physically and mentally healthy;
(II) Educational background and age requirements
1. Applicants for a master's degree must have a bachelor's degree, excellent academic performance, and be under 35 years old;
2. Applicants for doctoral degree should have a master's degree, excellent academic performance and be generally under 40 years old;
(III) Language requirements
1. Applicants for master's and doctoral programs with Chinese as the language of instruction should, in principle, have a Chinese proficiency of at least HSK Level 5;
2. Applicants for programs with English as the medium of instruction must meet our school’s admission requirements for the corresponding language proficiency.
(IV) Applicants must meet the university’s admission requirements in terms of academic ability and other relevant aspects.
V. Application Process
1. Applicants can check the relevant major information on the "Study in China" website or the website of the School of International Education of our university to determine the major they want to apply for;
2. Applicants contact our school to obtain relevant admission materials;
3. Applicants log in to the Chinese Government Scholarship Management System (http://www.campuschina.org), fill out the online Chinese Government Scholarship Application Form and submit the required application materials;
4. Our university submits the list of recommended candidates and application materials to the China Scholarship Council;
5. The China Scholarship Council organizes relevant institutions and experts to review the qualifications and academic performance of the recommended candidates and determine the candidates for admission;
6. The China Scholarship Council will notify our school of the admission results, and our school will notify the applicants.
6. Application Materials
1. Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarship (fill in online);
2. Passport front page. Applicants must submit a clear scan of the front page of their ordinary passport with a validity period later than September 2025. If the validity period of the current passport does not meet the requirements, please replace it with a new passport in time;
3. Notarized highest academic degree certificate. If the applicant is a student, he/she must submit a certificate of expected graduation or a certificate of enrollment issued by the school he/she is currently attending;
4. Academic transcripts (from undergraduate level onwards). Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be accompanied by notarized Chinese or English translations;
5. Language proficiency certificate. Applicants who apply for Chinese as the professional teaching language must provide a valid HSK score report. Applicants who apply for English as the professional teaching language should provide corresponding language proficiency certificate, such as IELTS or TOEFL score report;
6. Pre-admission materials. Applicants for master's and doctoral degrees should provide a pre-admission letter issued by our university;
7. Study or research plan in China. (More than 1,000 words, written in Chinese or English, doctoral students must be signed by the Chinese supervisor);
8. Recommendation letters. Submit two recommendation letters from professors or associate professors, written in Chinese or English;
9. Applicants under the age of 18 must submit relevant legal documents of their legal guardian in China;
10. Applicants who come to China to study for more than 6 months must submit a copy of the "Foreigner Physical Examination Form" (the original copy should be kept by the applicant, and this form is printed uniformly by the Chinese health and quarantine department and must be filled in English). Applicants should strictly follow the items required by the "Foreigner Physical Examination Form" for examination. "Foreigner Physical Examination Form" with missing items, without the applicant's photo or without a seal on the photo, and without the signature and seal of the doctor and the hospital is invalid. The examination result is valid for 6 months;
11. Certificate of No Criminal Record. Applicants must submit a valid certificate of no criminal record issued by the local public security bureau, which should usually be issued within 6 months before the date of application submission.
